Description
The focus of this research is the life and oeuvre of the French philosopher Simone Weil (1909-1943), social activist, political thinker, and mystic. The aim is to show, first, that her life and her writing are interconnected and cannot be regarded separately, and second, that Weil is not an isolated figure but should be regarded as one of the 20th century existentialists.
