Description
This is a virtual tour of the Virginia State Capitol, a neoclassical structure designed by Thomas Jefferson with the assistance of Charles-Louis Clérisseau and based on a Roman temple, the Maison Carrée at Nîmes in southern France. The original building was completed in 1788, but the Capitol has subsequently undergone several renovations and expansions, including the addition of two wings.
