Description
This foldout map, published in Philip Vickers Fithian; Journal and Letters, 1767-1774 (1900), details the route taken by Fithian on a missionary tour of the Pennsylvania and Virginia countryside between May 9, 1775 and February 19, 1776. According to the written itinerary on the left hand page, the Presbyterian minister set off from southern New Jersey, went as far north in Pennsylvania as present-day Williamsport, and as far south as Natural Bridge in Virginia.
