A telegram from an official at the Virginia Historical Society expresses condolences on the death of Philip Alexander Bruce, who had served as vice president of the society since 1918. The message was sent to Bruces daughter, Phillippa A. Bruce, on August 17, 1933, the day after her fathers death.
