Description
Funds to support production of a one-hour documentary film on the legendary Old Time/Bluegrass musician Ralph Stanley. The film will place Stanley's music in its Southwest Virginia (Dickenson Co.) context and will explore the tension between tradition and evolution in the ways this music is presented. We awarded an earlier grant for initial filming & pre-production.
