Description
The creation and implementation of an oral history project for the Robert Russa Moton Museum. Due to the central place that oral history has in the retelling of the history of civil rights in education in Prince Edward County, this project seeks to collect the narrations of individuals who eperienced and/or witnessed the school closings to expand the oral history already used in the museum. The individuals selected to particupate in the project were selected and categorized according to criteria outside of race, reflecting the central ideals of the museum. Ultimately, the narrations collected in this project serve as the foundation of an archive of oral histories for the museum.
