O. Winston Link considered this photograph to be a failure, as one of the flashbulbs failed to go off in the upper right of the image, preventing it from turning out the way he had envisioned. However, the juxtaposition of a group of boys playing in a swimming pool while a large steam train rumbles by behind them is striking, and very much within his style.
