Description
A project recording reminiscences of retired lightship keepers through
oral history interviews and a conference held in conjunction with the
annual reunion of those who served in the now defunct Lighthouse Service. The conference featured historians who spoke on the significance of the
Lightship in Maritime history. Follow-up oral history interviews are currently underway, and the Coast Guard has offered to publish the gathered material for distribution to other museums and interested organizations throughout the state.
