John Quincy Adams, the sixth president of the United States, is the subject of this daguerreotype copy portrait. Philip Haas took the originlal daguerreotype in 1843, but this image, made by the Boston photographic firm of Southworth and Hawes about 1850, is a copy of it. The Haas original has been lost.
