Description
Human/Ties celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the National Endowment for the Humanities. From September 14-17, some of America’s leading artists, scholars, and writers will gather together in Charlottesville, Virginia to explore how the humanities can contribute, in the words of the NEH enabling legislation to the “current conditions of national life.” Over four days of panel discussions, performances, film screenings, and art exhibits, Human/Ties will explore questions about war, race, the environment, citizenship, and technology. All events are free and open to the public.
