Governor John Garland Pollard poses for his official gubernatorial portrait. The oil painting on canvas, which was made by Edmund P. Archer, is part of the art collection of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Pollard served as a delegate to the Virginia Constitutional Convention of 1901-1902, attorney general of Virginia (1914-1918), and governor of Virginia (1930-1934).
