Description
Funds to support the costs of documenting on film the history and legacy of the student strike begun at Robert R. Moton High School in Farmville in 1951. The strike, reflecting Black Students' anger over inferior educational facilities, eventually led to a court case that in turn became part of the 1954 Brown v. Board Decision. This material will be used as part of a permanent exhibit at the Moton School & in the Behind the Veil film series.
