Description
This select, one-volume edition of the correspondence of Dolley Payne Todd Madison (1768-1849) was the single most comprehensive collection to date of Dolley Madison letters contained in the archives of the Papers of James Madison at the University of Virginia. Correspondence was reviewed and divided into chronological sections, and policies for annotation, editorial notes, and introductory essays were established. "The Selected Letters of Dolley Payne Madison" was published by the University of Virginia Press in the spring of 2003.
