VFH Center for the Humanities
Conversations with Scholars Fall/Spring 1996-1997
CENTER CONVERSATIONS present research-in-progress or just-completed work at the VFH Center for the Humanities in Charlottesville. They give participants ample opportunity to ask questions, challenge, debate, and otherwise respond to Center scholars. Resident scholars' research is always on subjects relevant to contemporary life in Virginia. Each session is free and open to the public, and is followed by refreshments and casual conversation. This year's programs include presentations by fellows of the Institute on Violence, Culture, and Survival, funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.
