Description
A two-day humanities program on the role of the connnunications media and poetry
in the lives of Southwest Virginians. The program was designed to foster better
understanding of the process of cormnunication and reduce the fear and mythology
that surround poets and representatives of the print and electronic media alike.
Humanists were an integral part of the program format which included panel
discussions, lectures, workshops, demonstrations, exhibits, and poetry readings.
