Description
A multi-faceted project to research, document, interpret, and present the a capella musical traditions of Piedmont Virginia. This project was known as the Piedmont Folksong Project which sought to document the region's folksongs, including the worksongs of railroad track-lining crews and field laborers, religious folksongs of Black and White congregations, and children's playsongs.
