Description
A one day conference for secondary school teachers, administrators and the general public centered around the subject of adolescent values. Questions raised with regard to this problem included "Who is making and influencing value decisions in our schools?" and "What factors sway decisions?" Humanities scholars delivered talks on "Youth values in perspective" and "Can values be taught?" Discussion groups and panels enabled participants to react to the major addresses in the afternoon sessions. The conference was so well received that participants organized a follow-up meeting to continue the discussion.
