“Intended for use by Amateur Nasal Rangers, this map was created with readings from an olfactometer, measuring the strength, duration, and dissipation of specific smells across shifts in time, space, and mental attitudes. Scents, sniffs, and whiffs were collected over a thirty-five-year period in the artist’s life, and are measured in both Personal Nostalgia Units as well as the more standardized European Odour Units. The residual aromas of the inks, colored pencil, and graph paper used in the creation of this edition are further representative of the years spent in service to these smells.”
