“Hakuun Yasutani said our buddha-nature (the Great Reality) ‘is like the sea, and each individual is like a wave on the surface…’ … we think and experience ourselves and our reality as separate waves, however, in each moment we all arise from and return to that vast ocean (the absolute—reverse of map). It is our dualistic mind (the relative—front of map) that sees us as separate, and is the cause of our suffering. How can we find our way to the ocean of the Great Reality and liberation?...There is no map, because there is nowhere for you to go. You are already the ocean, and you are already the wave. You are already there. And therein lies true liberation.”
